Who we are

This site is run by Johin, an independent web designer based in India, trading as Local Business Design. It is not a registered company — you are dealing with one person directly. For anything about your data, write to johin@localbusinessdesign.com, and that mail reaches Johin, not a support queue.

What we collect

When you submit the quote form, we receive and store:

• Your name — so a reply can be addressed to a person.
• Your email address — so we can send the quote.
• Your business name — so we know what the site is for.
• What you need — the description you write.
• The service you asked about — which option you clicked.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for a phone number, an address, or payment details through this site.

What we do not collect

We set no cookies. We run no analytics — no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no pixels from any advertising platform. We embed no third-party scripts, and we store nothing in your browser. You can browse this site without leaving a record of it here.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

Why we are allowed to hold it

You gave it to us so that we would reply to you. In data-protection terms that is your consent, and our legitimate interest in answering an enquiry about our own services. If you had not wanted a reply, you would not have sent the form.

Who else sees it

Nobody buys it, because we do not sell it. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. The only third party with technical access is our hosting provider, which stores the data on our behalf and may not use it for its own purposes.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that become projects are kept for as long as we work together, and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax and accounting records. Enquiries that go nowhere are deleted once it is clear nothing is happening. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you
• send you a copy of it
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete it

Write to johin@localbusinessdesign.com and we will do it. There is no form to fill in and no charge.

Your data is handled in India and subject to Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023. If you are somewhere with its own data-protection authority — the UK, the EU, or elsewhere — you keep whatever rights that law gives you and may complain to your own regulator.

Changes

If we start using analytics, cookies, or any third-party service that sees your data, this page will say so before it happens, and the date at the top will change.
